Finding Balance: A Handstand Workshop with Wolf

Today at Serenity Flow Yoga, we turned our world upside down—literally.

We had the pleasure of hosting a special handstand workshop led by traveling yoga teacher Wolf, all the way from Belgium. Known for his dynamic, down-to-earth teaching style and deep knowledge of body mechanics, Wolf brought a fresh perspective to our Tokyo studio, guiding students of all levels through the fundamentals—and magic—of handstands.

From the moment the mats were laid down, Wolf created an encouraging space where both first-timers and seasoned yogis felt supported. The workshop focused not only on getting upside down, but on building the solid foundation needed to make handstands a safe, sustainable part of your practice. We explored drills, alignment, shoulder stability, and how to find confidence in both falling and flying.

One of the most appreciated aspects of the session was its structure: practical, well-paced, and incredibly thoughtful. Wolf broke down complex movements into accessible steps that students could take home and integrate into their daily routine—whether that’s at the wall, in the middle of the room, or somewhere in between.

By the end, the studio was buzzing with energy (and quite a few wobbly inversions!). But more importantly, our students left feeling empowered—with a deeper understanding of their bodies and the inspiration to keep practicing.
